CAREER OVERVIEW:


Hennie is an experienced Project Manager and Design Manager who possesses a

wealth of expertise in commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, aviation and institutional project management and design-oriented projects. Hennie has a keen eye for design and unwavering attention to detail, and has a firm understanding of D&C project delivery.


Hennie has proven success in multi-disciplinary design coordination, complex stakeholder management, construction superintendence and administration, and post completion project management. Hennie’s skills have been developed over more than 25 years in Architecture, Design and Project Management, in areas including project planning, feasibility scoping, design development, management and design delivery of all building and services elements, gained from working on complex projects across the globe.


The key skills which Hennie has mastered is the ability to plan and execute multi-disciplinary Design & Construct projects from concept to completion, which include:

  • Formulation of design briefs and scope of works for the project design team.
  • Assessing project consultant scopes, deliverables and fee comparisons.
  • Evaluating the client’s requirements and extracting information from stakeholders.
  • Leading value management and risk assessment workshops.
  • Ensuring brief compliance in the design development process.   
  • Establishment and tracking of design and construction delivery programs.
  • Scoping of key procurement packages for market testing and cost planning.
  • Managing all aspects of contract administration and implementing corrective measures.
  • PCG Reporting: tracking against baseline program, monthly cost reporting, contract status.
  • Tender Management: all aspects of managing the tender process and recommendation.
