Gibb Group engaged Insight Project Services (Insight) to oversee and project manage the design and construction of the new CHEP Distribution Centre and Office Facility in Direk South Australia, which is used to wash, maintain and repair a range of pallets and containers which CHEP leases to a wide variety of businesses for storage and transport purposes.

The site is 5.627 hectares and the new facility has been designed specifically to suit the bespoke operational requirements of the Tenant. 

The facility consists of a 12,260sqm Warehouse, 400sqm Office inclusive of amenities and lunch room space, 34,650sqm of HD hardstand pavement and 90 car bays.

CHEP’s requirements have been incorporated into the design from inception.



The project incorporates crate and bin wash areas that require specific floor drainage and slab joint design to preclude corrosion of armoured joints in the vicinity of the washdown equipment areas.
